Unraid OS 7.1.0-beta.4 Now Available

🚧 Public Beta Release – Test Rigs Only!

We’re back with another beta update in the 7.1 series, continuing to refine performance, squash bugs, and add polish as we march toward a stable release. This latest beta focuses on backend improvements, driver updates, and some important usability fixes.

As always, this is beta software—please do not run it on production systems. We welcome your testing and feedback!

Patch Management Update

We’re improving how patches are handled between releases, and as a part of this, the standalone Patch Plugin is being removed in this release.

Rolling back?
If you need to roll back to an earlier release, simply reinstall the Patch Plugin manually. More details on this transition will be shared soon!

Wireless Adapter Improvements

Good news for WiFi users: we're improving wireless chipset support!

• Modern adapters: Most newer adapters should now work out of the box.
• Older adapters: Some older models might still run into issues. If your adapter isn’t detected, please start a new forum thread and include your diagnostics so we can investigate.

Tip: You can place additional firmware files in:

 /boot/config/firmware/ 

 Before driver modules are loaded, they’ll be automatically copied to:

 /lib/firmware/ 

🧹 Bug Fixes & Improvements

• Mover: Fixed issue causing the mover to hang on named pipes.
• Networking: Resolved warning about duplicate default gateway metrics when using VLANs.
• DHCP: Reverted behavior to not show the DHCP recommended domain name, maintaining prior behavior.
• Array & VMs: Fixed issue preventing the Array from stopping properly when VMs were still running.
