Community Applications Beta
With the release of the new Community Applications Public Beta, we are asking the community to help us highlight some hidden gems in Community Applications!
In case you missed it, there is a new public beta open for a Community Applications release candidate. We highly encourage users to install and test it out to help Squid and the team find bugs and get feedback on the new look and feel. Please try and break it!

With this new release candidate, there is a complete overhaul of the GUI that we think looks pretty amazing. Big thanks goes to Magnus Engo, aka Mex for the design work.
Outside of the GUI changes, there are some other notable changes including:
- "Enable Reinstall Default" is now renamed to "Install 2nd Instance" and CA will automatically rename the app to streamline the process of downloading multiple instances.
- Help Text has been removed because it's not needed with the new GUI (hopefully).
This release does require Unraid 6.9.0+ in order to work. More features are being added in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, we would love to get the Unraid community's opinions, feedback, and bug reports.
Hidden Gems of Community Applications
Another feature of the new CA will be the ability to spotlight apps, containers, and plugins.
Spotlighting can be done by popularity, but we also think it's best to poll the community to find some hidden gems of CA.
What are some lesser-known apps, containers, and plugins you are running?
Please let us know in the forums so we can shine a spotlight on this great work of our community developers and make these hidden gems easier to find for all.
