How to upgrade?

Upgrades to Pro

If you wish to take advantage of Cyber Weekend with an existing Unraid server using a Basic or Plus key, you can complete your upgrade purchase within the webGui and you will automatically receive 30% off your order. Instructions for how to do that are as follows:

Version 6.10+

Login to your Unraid server's webGui
In the main header navigation open the dropdown menu in top-right and click "Upgrade Key"
When prompted, select the Pro edition of Unraid
Complete the purchase process and your discount will be automatically applied

Version 6.9 or earlier

Login to your Unraid server's webGui
Navigate to the Tools > Registration page
Click "Upgrade Key"
When prompted, select the Pro edition of Unraid
Complete the purchase process and your discount will be automatically applied

License Key Fine Print

Unraid License Info

Unraid Licenses and upgrades are purchased from within Unraid OS (Go to the Tools > Registration page).

You can also purchase an Unraid license activation code from the Buy Now button above and activate your license later.

Attached storage devices refer to the total number of storage devices you are allowed to have attached to the server before starting the array, not counting the USB Flash boot device. There are no other limitations in the software based on license type.
Unraid OS Pro supports up to 30 storage devices in the parity-protected array (28 data and 2 parity) and up to 35 named pools, of up to 30 storage devices in the cache pool(s). Additional storage devices can still be utilized directly with other Unraid features such as Virtual Machines or the unassigned devices plugin.
Non-storage devices such as GPUs do not count against the license tier limits.
Unraid OS can only be booted from USB flash-based storage devices. Other boot devices such as SD card readers, HDDs, or SSDs are not supported at this time.
All license tiers are eligible to run new releases of Unraid OS at no additional cost.
If your USB Flash boot device fails, you can transfer your licenses to a new USB Flash device initially at any time, and subsequently up to once per year.

Trial Licenses and License Upgrade Info

Trial licenses are downloaded from within Unraid OS running on your server (Go to the Tools > Registration page).

To determine if Unraid will work with your hardware, use our free 30-Day Trial license!
Trial licenses provide full functionality of Unraid OS with no attached storage device limit.
Trial licenses require an internet connection upon server boot in order to validate. Basic/Plus/Pro keys do not require an internet connection.
Your Unraid Trial configuration can be moved to a new USB Flash device before purchasing a registration key.
Up to two 15-day Trial extensions are possible.
The pricing listed is a one-time fee priced per server.

License Upgrades

Upgrades are purchased from within the OS WebGUI via the Tools-> Registration page or the top right UPC and are priced as follows:

Basic license to Plus = $39 USD

Basic license to Pro = $79 USD

Plus license to Pro = $49 USD
